Q. Introduce yourself
I’m Richard Shetliffe and I’m the Chief Executive Officer for the British Footwear Association, which has strong ties with the Footwear Industry Trust.

Q. What is your connection/history with the footwear industry?
With over 30 years of experience in the footwear and accessories industry, I’ve held senior positions at iconic brands such as Dr Martens, Ben Sherman, Vagabond, VF Corporation, the Dune Group, and Havaianas, where I spent 15 years and was Managing Director for Northern Europe

Q. Why did you get involved with FIT?
Having spent my entire working life connected with the footwear industry it is a great honour to be able to serve as a trustee – it’s incredible to think of the good works that the trust has been carry out for over 180 years.

Q What aspects of FIT are you most proud of?
Having the opportunity to support and give back to those that need it most is a great privilege especially when it’s connected to an industry that I am so passionate about.
